Position Title: Senior SME - Cloud
Location: Solihull, UK (2 days onsite)
Type: Full-Time
Security Clearance: MOD-level security clearance required
PURPOSE
The role focuses on managing and improving cloud and hosting services, resolving incidents, handling service requests, and contributing to project initiatives to ensure high-quality and reliable infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support cloud and hosting projects and roadmap initiatives.
Implement hosting improvements, identify risks, and execute mitigation plans.
Conduct security monitoring, architecture reviews, and health checks.
Manage risks, vulnerabilities, and third-party defect resolutions.
Collaborate on infrastructure transformation workshops and ensure adherence to technical and quality standards.
Identify and implement automation and process standardization opportunities.
Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Technical
Expertise in Azure Cloud, including DevOps/ARM deployment, PaaS, automation, and NSG management.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012/16/19) and virtual server lifecycle management.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, JSON).
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect).
Experience in service delivery, project requirements, and producing high-quality documentation.
Non-Technical
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in report and proposal writing.
Relationship-building with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical problem-solving and prioritization skills.
