Job Description
**Job Title:** Lead AWS DevOps Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, deployment, and operation of scalable, secure AWS-based infrastructure for a portfolio of SaaS products. Drive automation, CI/CD, and best‑practice DevOps practices while mentoring the team and collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Lead a small DevOps team in a fast‑paced, product‑centric environment. - Deliver high‑availability, cost‑effective AWS solutions that meet performance and security standards. - Own the continuous improvement of DevOps tooling, pipelines, and processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect, build, and evolve AWS infrastructure for SaaS offerings. - Define and enforce standards for IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and security. - Drive adoption of containerization, serverless, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation). - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Git, automated testing, deployment). - Implement monitoring, alerting, logging (CloudWatch, Grafana, log analytics). - Optimize environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Troubleshoot complex deployment and infrastructure issues. - Mentor and review team members’ designs and code. - Collaborate with engineering/product teams on feature releases and operational improvements. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience with AWS. - Proficient with AWS services: EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, Beanstalk, CloudFront, Route 53, Glacier, Lambda, EventBridge. - Expertise in IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation. - CI/CD experience: Jenkins, Git, pipeline automation. - Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python). - Knowledge of security/compliance frameworks (ITIL, NIST, SOC 2). - Monitoring/logging: Grafana, CloudWatch, log analysis. - Messaging/queue systems: SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, SES. - Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS. - Serverless architecture experience. - Problem‑solving, adaptability, and strong communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required, but AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
