**Job Title**
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, deployment, and management of a hybrid IT environment that spans AWS and on‑prem Windows infrastructure. Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to support around 30 internal companies, 1,500 users, and numerous freelancers, driving migration projects, automation, and operational excellence.
**Expectations**
- Work with a cross‑functional engineering team (3 senior engineers + 2 project engineers).
- Adhere to a hybrid schedule with mandatory in‑office presence on Tuesdays.
- Deliver high‑availability, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions.
- Be proactive in troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build, configure, and maintain Windows Server VMs (2016‑2022) on Hyper‑V and in AWS EC2 environments.
- Author and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage all infrastructure resources.
- Lead migration of on‑prem file servers to AWS and Microsoft 365/SharePoint, including use of AvePoint, ManageEngine, and related tools.
- Manage S3 backups, FSx cloud storage, RDS database instances, and AppStream applications across multiple AWS accounts.
- Configure and automate identity federation and access via Okta, Okta Workflows, JumpCloud, and EntraID.
- Execute Windows server upgrades and patch management.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for newly acquired businesses.
- Develop and enforce security access controls and processes.
- Progress toward a full Lambda architecture where feasible.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Hands‑on Terraform scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code best practices.
- Administration of Windows Server 2016‑2022, both physical and virtual environments (Hyper‑V).
- Familiarity with identity providers: Okta, JumpCloud, EntraID.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and migration tools (AvePoint, ManageEngine).
- Experience with S3, FSx, RDS, EC2, and AppStream services.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps) strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or related Microsoft infrastructure certifications are a plus.
