Job Description
Job Title: Director, Health IT Project Management and Service Delivery Role Summary: Lead the Health IT PMO to strategically plan, execute, and close technology initiatives and transition them to ongoing operations. Oversee a team of project managers and coordinators, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, timeline, and regulatory standards while enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes. Expectations: * 6‑10 years of IT project management, including leadership of cross‑functional teams. * Proven track record of delivering large, complex healthcare technology projects on time and within budget. * Strong change‑management skills applied across multiple departments. * Ability to operate in a hybrid environment with on‑site presence as required. Key Responsibilities: 1. Define project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and quality metrics for strategic health IT initiatives. 2. Manage and mentor a team of Health IT project managers and coordinators. 3. Ensure adherence to best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across all projects. 4. Facilitate transition of completed projects to ongoing service delivery, establishing SLA monitoring frameworks. 5. Partner with IT operations to standardize dashboards, reporting, and accountability mechanisms. 6. Develop and maintain governance, processes, and tools supporting technology roadmap and financial planning. 7. Lead change‑management activities and assess impact on multiple units. 8. Identify and integrate emerging technologies into the health system’s infrastructure. Required Skills: * Advanced project management methodology (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile). * Leadership and team‑management skills with cross‑functional coordination. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication, with capability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. * Knowledge of health IT regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.). * Expertise in SLA definition, monitoring, and continuous improvement of IT services. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. * Minimum of 6‑10 years of progressive IT project management experience. * PMP, Prince2, or similar advanced project management certification preferred.
