Lead Data Scientist (Python & SQL)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning solutions using Python and SQL to drive strategic business outcomes. Oversee end‑to‑end model lifecycle, data pipelines, experimentation, and integrate models into production systems while maintaining high standards of code quality, governance, and ethical AI practices.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead end‑to‑end development of predictive models, optimization algorithms, and analytical frameworks.
2. Collaborate with product and business teams to define problem statements, analytical approaches, and success criteria.
3. Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for feature engineering, model training, and deployment in partnership with data engineering.
4. Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and identify opportunities.
5. Manage model validation, versioning, monitoring, and performance optimization in production environments.
6. Establish best practices for statistical modeling, A/B testing, and documentation of data‑science processes.
7. Integrate machine‑learning models into applications, workflows, and automated decision engines.
8. Mentor and provide technical guidance to data scientists and analysts, ensuring consistent methodology and coding standards.
9. Develop dashboards, automated reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
10. Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations supporting product strategy and operational improvements.
11. Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy regulations, and responsible AI across all projects.
12. Evaluate emerging libraries, platforms, and tools to enhance team performance and solution quality.
13. Manage project timelines, resource planning, and stakeholder communication across multiple data‑science initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Python (scikit‑learn, pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, SQL)
- Experience with SQL databases and ETL pipeline development
- Strong statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (A/B testing)
- Model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, SageMaker, etc.)
- Data visualization and dashboarding (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib/Seaborn)
- Excellent coding practices: version control (Git), unit testing, code reviews
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and responsible AI principles
- Leadership and mentorship in a cross‑functional environment
- Project management skills and stakeholder communication
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, TensorFlow Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer – Specialty) preferred
