**Job Title**: Ride Control System Security Engineer - Operational Technology (OT)
**Role Summary**
Lead network architecture and cybersecurity for automation and embedded control systems in large-scale ride attractions. Apply expertise in operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) to design, implement, and secure high-availability ride networks globally. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technology into immersive entertainment solutions.
**Expectations**
- 3+ years designing, engineering, and commissioning automation and control systems for OT/ICS environments.
- 3+ years of network systems design, installation, and configuration.
- Proficiency in balancing network availability, performance, resiliency, and security.
- Ability to lead standards development and collaborate on complex, cross-team initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement OT/ICS network architectures and cybersecurity frameworks for ride automation systems.
- Analyze and test network protocols (TCP/IP, CAN, Ethernet/IP, etc.), ensuring compliance with high-availability safety standards.
- Develop and evaluate cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, endpoint security, and network monitoring tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation for OT/ICS components.
- Collaborate with project teams to define network requirements, resolve technical issues, and validate system performance.
- Document network designs, functional specifications, and implementation plans.
- Research emerging technologies, evaluate trade-offs, and prototype proof-of-concept systems.
- Support ride network installation, commissioning, and testing.
**Required Skills**
- Linux/Windows system administration (3+ years).
- Expertise in communication technologies: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT.
- Experience with wireless communication in safety-critical systems.
- Strong technical writing skills for documentation, proposals, and analysis.
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 3 months at a time).
- Multitasking and project-management skills for managing complex, parallel priorities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISP, or ICS-specific cybersecurity credentials.
- Familiarity with Rockwell/ICS automation systems, safety-system design, or multitasking platforms (preferred).
