**Job Title:** Project Control Specialist (Nuclear Power)
**Role Summary:**
Lead cost control for nuclear projects, developing and implementing performance monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis. Ensure projects stay within approved scope, budget, and schedule through rigorous cost analysis, corrective action, and expert oversight.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver accurate cost analysis, reporting, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain contractual integrity and operational excellence.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert in nuclear and construction cost control.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate architecture & engineering contracts; monitor expenditures, issue/amend contracts, resolve issues.
- Lead process integrity, reconcile encumbrances with IBS, resolve outstanding requests.
- Provide nuclear/industry technical direction and oversight.
- Analyze cost data to identify savings and efficiency improvements; develop corrective action plans and cost‑benefit analyses.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, actual expenditure reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Forecast performance against business plan objectives; conduct trend assessments.
- Establish ADP support requirements; design and implement related plans.
- Conduct special studies (project forecasting, O&M, CCO, etc.).
- Produce dashboards, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- 3‑5+ years in utility cost control, project control, or project management, preferably nuclear or construction.
- Proficiency in project control techniques (scope, budget, schedule monitoring, forecasting, corrective actions).
- Advanced MS Excel skills for analysis, graphing, and dashboard creation.
- Experience with Primavera P6 (preferred).
- Knowledge of utilities/energy/government industry practices.
- Strong contractual administration, encumbrance reconciliation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Equivalent real‑world work experience considered.
- PMP, CAPM, or other cost control certifications preferred.
