Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Role Summary:
Lead and develop a field sales team to achieve sales, ROI and distribution targets across multiple FMCG categories (Confectionery, Beverages, Petcare, Cereals, Waters, Food & Nutrition). Partner with the National Field Manager to set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, coach staff, and drive commercial growth within the defined territory.
Expectations:
- Deliver agreed sales and KPI targets consistently.
- Maintain high team morale, retention, and compliance with company policies.
- Act as a trusted brand ambassador in high‑profile store visits and stakeholder interactions.
- Operate a company vehicle and manage expenses responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set quarterly business objectives and KPIs for Field Sales Executives.
- Facilitate monthly team meetings, training sessions, and strategic briefings.
- Conduct individual performance appraisals, development plans, audits, and coaching.
- Drive ROI, sales volume, and distribution coverage for the team.
- Identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends, and secure high‑profile client visits.
- Analyse performance data, produce weekly/monthly reports, and provide insights to leadership.
- Ensure completion of mandatory training modules and compliance with GDPR, H&S, and company policies.
- Monitor and reconcile team budget, fuel costs, and bonus calculations.
- Validate field results through audits and maintain records of company equipment.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in FMCG/retail or sales management.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑management abilities.
- Commercial awareness, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Data‑driven decision‑making and analytical reporting.
- Proficiency with sales scripts, lost sales analysis, and performance tools.
- Excellent communication – verbal, written, and electronic.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Full manual driving licence; ability to travel within the designated territory.
- Completion of relevant industry training (e.g., Acosta University modules) is required.
