Job Description
Job title: Intern – Summer 2026 Architectural Design Role Summary: Summer design internship for current architecture students to support the Design Director in managing multifamily projects through all development phases, from concept to construction, with a focus on developer‑centric decision‑making and final presentation to senior stakeholders. Expectations: - Rising junior or senior (or 4th/5th year of a 5‑year program). - Expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Aug 2027. - Availability June 1 – July 31, 2026. - Willingness to travel locally up to 25 %. - Commitment to detailed documentation, quality control, and collaborative meetings. - Ability to present insights to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Review architectural and interior design drawing sets (SD through CDs). - Apply and enforce design standards across multiple projects. - Coordinate with architects, interior designers, construction teams, third‑party consultants, and vendors. - Support material and finish selection and budget reviews. - Assist with mock‑up reviews, design quality control, and construction oversight. - Track design updates, value‑engineering initiatives, and change‑order impacts. - Attend internal and external project coordination meetings. - Deliver a final presentation summarizing financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Required Skills: - Strong organizational and time‑management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Detail‑oriented with high accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. - Comfortable presenting to senior management. - Proficiency with design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe suite). - Basic knowledge of budgeting and cost‑control processes. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in an accredited Architecture or Interior Design program. - No additional certifications required at this stage.
