**Job Title:** Software Java Engineer (Secret Security Clearance) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and support enterprise‑grade Java applications for government and commercial clients. Serve as a technical expert on Cortex Edge, delivering on‑site and remote solutions, mentoring developers, and shaping product roadmaps based on customer feedback. **Expectations:** - Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience. - Active Secret security clearance. - Ability to work both on‑site at customer locations and remotely. - Strong analytical mindset with meticulous execution. - Effective communication and teamwork in client‑facing environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and implement Java‑based enterprise applications (Java 17+, Spring). - Diagnose and resolve immediate and potential application issues. - Mentor and collaborate with development teams on debugging, coding, and best practices. - Deliver on‑site customization, installation, and maintenance of software products. - Contribute to product roadmap discussions and feature prioritization. - Meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced delivery environment. **Required Skills:** - Java (Swing, multithreading) on UNIX/Windows platforms. - Spring framework, Java 17 or newer. - Source control and build tools: Subversion, Maven. - Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL, JPA, ETL processes. - Search technologies: Elasticsearch, SOLR, Lucene. - RESTful web services development. - Front‑end: Angular.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Sass. - Semantic/graph databases and semantic graph concepts. - IDE: IntelliJ IDEA. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - Active Secret security clearance. - Preferred: Security+ certification; experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, DoD, federal law enforcement, or intelligence agencies.
