Job Description
**Job title** Junior Estimator & Data Analyst **Role Summary** Prepare basic cost estimates for construction projects and collect, cleanse, analyze, and visualize data to support business decisions and tendering processes. Ensure estimates comply with bidding standards and that data insights are actionable for stakeholders. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, compliant estimate packages within defined timelines. - Maintain high data quality and consistency while providing clear, stakeholder‑friendly reports and dashboards. - Support the implementation of new tendering, estimating, and data‑management software. - Collaborate with sales, engineering, and technical teams to align estimates and analytics with business strategy. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and submit cost estimates and client quotes in accordance with internal bidding protocols. - Follow up with clients on quoted work, addressing queries and tracking status. - Gather data from databases, APIs, surveys, and other sources; verify accuracy and maintain data systems. - Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations (e.g., Power BI or equivalent) to communicate findings to stakeholders. - Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes; recommend solutions for data quality issues. - Assist with the rollout and training of new software systems. - Contribute to the development and execution of tendering/estimating policies and strategies aligned with sales objectives. - Liaise with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, present findings, and collaborate on solutions. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and interpretation. - Basic experience with sales and project management systems. - Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities. - Effective communication and networking skills. - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. - Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools (asset). **Required Education & Certifications** - Diploma or degree in a technical field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent). - Technical understanding of heavy lift, crane, or transport operations preferred. - Experience in industrial or pre‑construction management within a similar industry is desired.
