Job Description
Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst Role Summary: Secure and monitor enterprise information systems by developing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, monitoring tools, and incident response procedures. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure adherence to cyber security frameworks and regulatory requirements. Expectations: • Operate in a fully remote capacity with periodic UK travel. • Coordinate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to embed security best practices across the organisation. • Deliver measurable improvements in risk posture through continuous monitoring and proactive threat mitigation. Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and enforce cyber security policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with NIST, CAF, ISO, and other relevant frameworks. • Deploy and manage security monitoring solutions (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection) to detect, analyse, and respond to security events. • Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence analysis, and penetration testing to identify and remediate risks. • Monitor logs, alerts, and reports; investigate incidents, prepare incident reports, and recommend containment actions. • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with established security controls and documentation. • Maintain relationships with third‑party vendors and coordinate security requirements for external services. Required Skills: • Proven experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role. • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CAF, ISO) and regulatory compliance. • Hands‑on expertise with vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and security monitoring tools. • Familiarity with firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools and methodologies. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative teamwork. • Proficiency in incident response, risk assessment, and reporting. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent preferred.
