Job title: Intern – Strategy & Risk Advisory – Summer 2026
Role Summary: Supporting the Strategy & Risk Advisory unit by conducting research, drafting briefs, and identifying business opportunities across emerging markets; contributing to political, economic, ESG, and reputational analyses for high‑profile clients.
Expactations: Deliver high‑quality research, briefing notes, and presentation materials; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of political/economic developments; assist in expanding client networks and identifying new business prospects; collaborate with senior team members on ad‑hoc projects within a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze political, economic, business, and ESG trends in key jurisdictions.
- Draft briefing documents, reports, and client presentations.
- Perform due‑diligence research and reputational investigations.
- Produce specialist political analyses of selected regions.
- Identify potential government, private‑sector, and stakeholder relationships.
- Detect and evaluate new business opportunities for the unit.
- Support senior leadership on special projects and ad‑hoc assignments.
Required Skills:
- Strong research, analytical, and data‑synthesis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Organizational ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
- Demonstrated interest in the intersection of politics, business, and emerging‑market investment.
- Awareness of ESG considerations in emerging‑market contexts.
- (Optional) Proficiency in a second language such as French, Arabic, Portuguese, Swahili, Lingala, Luganda, Amharic, Hausa, Xhosa, Twi, Igbo, or Yoruba.
Required Education & Certifications: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Politics, Political Economy, History, or a related social science/humanities field.
