Job Description: Job title: Senior AI Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain generative AI (Gen AI) solutions integrated into a geoscience data platform. Transition prototypes into secure, scalable, production-ready features, build evaluation pipelines, and contribute to long‑term AI strategy while ensuring data privacy and compliance. Expectations: • Lead end‑to‑end Gen AI feature development and production deployment. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and data science teams globally. • Translate business requirements into robust, secure software architecture. • Champion best practices for sustainable, rapid AI delivery. • Mentor senior and junior developers and drive technical leadership opportunities. Key Responsibilities: • Own the full lifecycle of Gen AI features on the platform. • Design and implement secure, scalable pipelines for model training, inference, and monitoring. • Develop evaluation frameworks for continuous model and product improvement. • Generalize and extend existing ML and analytics tools (e.g., vector stores, semantic search). • Ensure customer data protection, consent, and compliance with privacy regulations. • Participate in architecture discussions and act as a subject‑matter expert. • Support integration of LLMs, agents, and retrieval‑augmented generation components. Required Skills: • 7+ years in software engineering or data science with 1+ year delivering production Gen AI/LLM products. • Strong proficiency in Python and cloud tooling (Google Cloud preferred). • Experience with Gen AI tools: LangChain/LangGraph, Google Vertex AI, Gen AI SDK. • Knowledge of vector databases, RAG, semantic search, and evaluation frameworks. • Ability to translate prototypes into stable, production‑ready solutions. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field. • Certifications in cloud services (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) or AI/ML platforms are a plus.
