Job Description

**Job Title:** Systems Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Supports the development and integration of database tools and automated data processing systems for satellite operations, focusing on data exploitation from on-board and ground-based sensors. Aims to enhance satellite constellation data management and analysis capabilities. **Expectations:** - Develop database solutions (commercial/open-source) for satellite and sensor data. - Implement automated data collection, processing methods, and interconnectivity with mission analysis tools. - Apply statistical and machine learning techniques for trend analysis, anomaly detection, and specification validation. - Demonstrate initiative, technical adaptability, and systems engineering proficiency in a multidisciplinary environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct trade-off analyses of database and data management solutions. - Design and maintain databases for satellite characteristics and sensor/equipment measurement data. - Develop mechanisms for automated data ingestion and real-time information reporting. - Create automated processing workflows (trend calculations, normal/anomalous behavior identification). - Integrate systems with in-house mission analysis tools and ensure data compliance. **Required Skills:** - Advanced systems design knowledge with satellite subsystems expertise (functions, specifications). - Configuration management proficiency. - Python programming skills; foundational MongoDB experience. - Data processing expertise in regression analysis and least squares methods. - Familiarity with machine learning techniques (classification, supervised learning). - Strong analytical synthesis and problem-solving capabilities. - Bilingual fluency in French and English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Advanced degree (5 years minimum, engineering/university) in aerospace or systems engineering. - Prior internship experience preferred. - No formal certifications required; prior knowledge of space systems (NewSpace emphasis) is advantageous.
