**Job title:** Azure Data Engineer **Role Summary:** 6‑week contract focused on executing a critical data migration program within a fast‑moving delivery environment. **Expactations:** Deliver production‑grade data pipelines, code, and documentation within tight deadlines while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and optimise data pipelines using Azure services and Databricks. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions that maintain data quality and security. - Perform data migration tasks, including data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation at enterprise scale. - Produce clean, maintainable code and comprehensive documentation. - Collaborate with delivery teams to meet project milestones and deliverables. **Required Skills:** - Advanced SQL for querying, modelling, and migration. - Production‑ready Python for data engineering and automation. - Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory (ADF). - Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and validation techniques. - Proven track record in enterprise‑scale data migration projects. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (DP‑203) is preferred but not mandatory.
