**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for government-facing applications on AWS. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to automate deployments, monitor systems, and ensure compliance with federal security standards, while providing on‑call support and incident resolution.
**Expectations**
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum 2 years of professional DevOps experience, preferably in a government contracting or federal agency environment.
- Proven track record administering AWS environments, CI/CD tools (GitLab), and IaC (Terraform).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), stateful storage (Redis), and object storage (S3).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot identity, authentication, and cloud service issues, and to conduct root‑cause analysis.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot AWS-based stacks; manage patching, configuration, and user access.
- Implement and maintain IaC for all services, ensuring smooth integration across the architecture.
- Build and govern end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines with quality and security gates, automating releases across multiple projects.
- Monitor systems, configure alerting, and perform real‑time remediation of production incidents.
- Provide on‑call support, create documentation, and develop production support processes.
- Conduct research, prototype new solutions, and recommend tooling improvements to enhance application performance.
- Serve as liaison between development, operations, and stakeholders to align on architecture and security decisions.
- Deliver daily operational support within an agile team, managing incidents, changes, and problems.
**Required Skills**
- AWS administration & security (identity, access, virtual networking).
- CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent) and automation scripting (Bash, Python, or equivalent).
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform; container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Redis, Docker, and S3.
- Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to bridge legacy and modern teams, fostering a shared DevOps culture.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
- Valid U.S. Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
