**Job Title:** Process Control Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain automated process control systems for an engineered wood manufacturing plant, ensuring safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot, program, and upgrade PLCs, motion control, and HMI systems, while mentoring staff and supporting capital projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain ControlLogix, Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, and related PLC/HMI software.
- Provide on‑site OT support, including installation, configuration, and commissioning of control equipment.
- Analyze process data, perform PID tuning, and develop improvement plans to optimize plant performance.
- Create and update instrumentation and control system standards, drawings, and SOPs.
- Mentor maintenance associates on PLC programming, motion control, and instrumentation fundamentals.
- Participate in capital and maintenance projects: scope definition, budgeting, bid support, and integration.
- Ensure networking, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, and system security configurations meet operational requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong ControlLogix (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000) programming and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in PLC, motion control, VFDs, HMI (Wonderware), and network protocols (Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP).
- Proficient in Windows, MS Office, CAD, Matlab, and electrical test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&ID, and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication; strong teamwork and listening skills.
- Openness to learning new technologies and continuous improvement practices.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics) or Technical Diploma in Controls/Instrumentation.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical and process control environments.
- Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation preferred (e.g., Rockwell Certified PowerFlex, Certified Control Systems Technician).
