**Job Title:** Distinguished AI Researcher
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, research, and production of advanced AI/ML systems for SOC automation. Drive innovation from concept to enterprise‑scale deployment, integrating classical ML, graph/time‑series models, and Generative AI. Act as a single point of contact for AI strategy in collaboration with engineering, product, and security teams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end AI prototypes that transition to production within defined timelines.
- Bridge research insights with product requirements, ensuring rapid yet robust development cycles.
- Advocate optimal methodology—modern GenAI versus traditional models—based on performance and reliability.
- Maintain thought leadership by publishing and presenting research in top conferences and journals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement AI solutions for detection, triage, investigation, and response workflows in SOC.
- Collaborate with technical staff to outline architecture, data pipelines, and model training procedures.
- Partner with engineering and PM leaders to translate market and product needs into AI roadmaps.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging ML/GenAI techniques, balancing innovation with proven practices.
- Develop and refine foundation models, graph and time‑series methods, and evaluation protocols.
- Conduct adversarial and robustness testing; establish safety and guardrail mechanisms.
- Produce internal and external publications, contributing to conferences and industry journals.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, anomaly detection, Bayesian inference, gradient boosting, HMMs, sequence models, and graph neural networks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of LLMs and GenAI pipelines: tokenizers, SFT/DPO/GRPO, retrieval (chunking, hybrid search, routing), evaluation (faithfulness, grounding, LLM‑as‑a‑judge), and agent design (tool schemas, memory, planning).
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) plus LLM tooling (LangChain, Strands, MCP/A2A).
- Experience in graph ML: entity/relationship graphs, link prediction, dynamic graph learning, and variational GAE.
- Strong background in adversarial/robust ML: evasion detection, poisoning defenses, model red‑team testing, safety guardrails.
- Proven ability to build and ship production‑grade ML systems delivering measurable business impact.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of hands‑on AI/ML experience with 5 + years in production system deployment.
- Record of publications in top AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, IJCAI, AAAI) or equivalent professional impact.
