**Job Title:** DevOps Manager – Data & Cloud Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Strategic leader responsible for designing, scaling, and operating cloud and data infrastructure across AWS and Azure. Drives CI/CD adoption, automation, and operational excellence for data engineering, machine learning, and cloud teams while ensuring security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
**Expectations:**
- 7+ years in DevOps or cloud infrastructure, with ≥3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and deliver reliable, automated production pipelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management to align engineering, data, and business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects.
- Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines for data and ML workflows.
- Oversee multi‑cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) ensuring high availability, security, and cost control.
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices: monitoring, logging, incident response, performance tuning.
- Manage version control, release processes, and environment consistency across dev, staging, and prod.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and relevant regulations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Evaluate, select, and integrate new tools to improve workflow efficiency and team productivity.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise with AWS and Azure services.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
- Scripting/automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates.
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with data‑centric platforms (data pipelines, ML model serving, analytics).
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Agile/Scrum methodology and project‑tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years DevOps/cloud infrastructure experience; 3+ years leadership.
- Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent certifications.
