Job Title: Product Developer
Role Summary: Owns and drives the full product development lifecycle for assigned menswear, womenswear, and accessories categories, ensuring time‑to‑market, cost targets, and quality standards are met while advancing sustainability goals.
Expatations: Deliver samples through P2/SMS stage on schedule and within target margins; maintain strong supplier relationships; provide clear, data‑backed cost and risk inputs; collaborate cross‑functionally with Design, Materials, Technical, Buying & Sourcing teams; uphold compliance and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the critical path from design handover to P2/SMS, coordinating with Design, Materials, and Technical teams.
- Develop and manage technical categories, creating P1 tech packs (size charts, BOMs, comments) and overseeing supplier handover.
- Track sample production, ex‑factory dates, and fit session outcomes; generate P1 and P2/SMS cost comments and update BOMs.
- Negotiate supplier costs, review open costings, and maintain target cost margins based on RRP guidelines.
- Facilitate vendor allocation, supplier mapping, and SMS/bulk BOM accuracy.
- Conduct fit sessions, write commentary, and present samples to product and senior leadership.
- Communicate reliably with suppliers via phone, email, and video calls.
- Support Materials Developer with component/trims approvals, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain PD team workspace and perform ad‑hoc administrative tasks.
Required Skills:
- Product development lifecycle management (P1–P2/SMS).
- Technical knowledge of knitwear, outerwear, insulation, swimwear, wovens, jersey, and accessories.
- Costing, budget control, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in tech pack creation and data analysis.
- Collaborative mindset; ability to meet deadlines across multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with sustainability and compliance frameworks.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Garment Technology, Buying, Product Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 4–5+ years of product development experience in a performance or lifestyle brand.
