Job Description
Job title: Expert OCS (Online Charging System) Role Summary: Lead the deployment, upgrade, and migration of Ericsson OCS platforms for large telecom clients. Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, validate supplier outputs, integrate new components into existing ecosystems, and provide operational support and incident resolution. Develop automation scripts and document procedures to ensure smooth operation of the charging system. Expactations: - Minimum 5 years of proven experience with Ericsson OCS deployment and migration. - Strong technical and project management skills in telecom charging environments (Intelligent Network, In‑/Prepaid). - Fluency in French (both written and spoken). - Ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Pilot feasibility studies in collaboration with solution leads, project teams, and suppliers. - Own project management of OCS platform upgrades, including schedule, budget, and resource coordination. - Analyze and validate supplier deliverables against contractual and technical specifications. - Introduce new components or services into the existing OCS ecosystem, ensuring interoperability. - Author operational documents, user guides, and maintenance procedures. - Provide operational support, train staff, and serve as escalation point for incidents. - Diagnose and resolve platform incidents; root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. - Develop and maintain automation scripts (Java, Python, shell) to streamline operations. - Operate in a multi‑disciplinary environment, collaborating with network, integration, and support teams. Required Skills: - In‑depth knowledge of Ericsson OCS platform and associated technologies (Intelligent Network, In‑/Prepaid). - Programming and scripting: Java, Python, and shell scripting. - Project management methodology (waterfall or agile) and tools. - System architecture (IT, business, and functional) and process design. - Experience with user cases and business process mapping. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in telecom charging, project management (PMP, Prince2), or Ericsson OCS are highly desirable.
