Job Description
Job title: Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack Role summary: Lead cross‑team full‑stack engineering initiatives, shaping architecture, code quality, and delivery of complex features and infrastructure. Mentor mid‑level developers and influence product and technical roadmaps across the organization. Expectations: • Minimum 7 years professional software engineering experience, with 5 + years in leadership of multi‑team projects. • Strong application of computer science fundamentals in production settings. • Proven ability to set, enforce, and elevate coding standards and best practices. Key responsibilities: • Act as subject‑matter expert on business and technical domains, advising partners, product managers, and designers. • Own medium‑ to large‑scale features or infrastructure projects from design through release. • Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. • Prioritize and influence product/technical roadmaps, mitigating risks to ensure on‑time delivery. • Drive reliability through SLO development, failure domain reduction, and maintainable code practices. • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. Required skills: • Full‑stack development expertise (frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure). • Architectural design, performance, and scalability considerations. • Leadership, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration. • Risk identification, mitigation, and release management. • SLO/Service‑Level Objectives definition and monitoring. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement. Required education & certifications: • Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified ScrumMaster, or similar) are a plus but not mandatory.
