**Job Title:** AWS Web API Developer – Remote
**Role Summary:**
Remote software engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining .NET Core Web APIs and associated services in AWS cloud environments. Leverages containerization, orchestration, and SOA principles to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions while ensuring code quality and architectural soundness.
**Expectations:**
- Contract duration of 6+ months, rate based on experience.
- Eligible candidates: U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, TN, GC EAD, H‑4 EAD.
- No third‑party agencies or Corp‑to‑Corp arrangements.
- Full remote work with adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core (C#) Web API services (REST/SOAP).
- Apply SOA principles and design patterns to create modular, reusable components.
- Deploy, configure, and manage services using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (including AWS CLI).
- Perform database development and tuning: write/optimize SQL Server stored procedures, views, indexes, and resolve performance issues.
- Ensure code architecture aligns with best‑practice design principles and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate APIs with other systems and cloud services.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support CI/CD pipelines in the AWS environment.
**Required Skills:**
- .NET Core, C#, Web API development (REST & SOAP).
- Strong understanding of SOA, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services, AWS CLI, and cloud deployment.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- SQL Server expertise: stored procedures, views, indexing, performance tuning.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tooling.
- Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and document code and infrastructure.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: AWS Certified Developer – Associate or similar cloud certifications (optional).
