Role Summary:
Lead design and delivery of scalable, standards‑aligned healthcare data solutions on a FHIR‑based platform. Drive architecture from discovery to post‑go‑live, collaborating with clients and cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Expactations:
* Own end‑to‑end architecture for complex healthcare implementations.
* Deliver clear, actionable solutions to clients with incomplete requirements.
* Maintain oversight throughout implementation, adjusting designs as needed.
* Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead architecture design during discovery and early implementation, partnering with healthcare customers.
* Provide architectural oversight across full implementation lifecycle and post‑go‑live.
* Assess and recommend performance optimization, ingestion workflows, bundle design, and terminology mapping.
* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Agile Leads, Solution Architects, and Technical Account Managers to resolve architectural questions.
* Adapt and evolve solution designs as delivery progresses, addressing constraints, scalability challenges, and deployment issues.
* Participate in customer‑facing engagements: design reviews, technical workshops, retrospectives, and escalations.
* Contribute to internal architecture governance through design reviews, documentation, and reusable solution assets.
Required Skills:
* 10+ years in software engineering, technical consulting, or solution architecture focused on healthcare.
* Proven ability to lead customer‑facing architecture discussions with payer, provider, or government entities.
* Experience with real‑time data ingestion (Kafka, Camel, Pulsar) and FHIR‑based data workflows.
* Strong knowledge of clinical data models and terminology standards (SNOMED CT, RxNorm, LOINC).
* Proficiency in cloud‑native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments (Helm, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Ability to evaluate technical trade‑offs and adapt designs to emerging constraints.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts.
* Proficiency in solution diagramming tools such as Lucidchart.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (preferred).
