**Job Title:** Director of Sales **Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for defining and executing revenue strategies, managing high‑performing sales teams, and overseeing profit and loss (P&L) for a technology and professional‑services organization. Drives market expansion, client relationship management, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet growth and profitability targets. **Expectations:** - Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate objectives. - Achieve or exceed revenue, margin, and profitability targets. - Lead, coach, and scale the regional sales organization. - Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and compliance with policies and legal standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and execute comprehensive sales and go‑to‑market strategies. - Partner with the Director of Engineering to align sales and engineering initiatives. - Mentor and develop sales staff; recruit and retain top talent. - Manage pipeline, acquire new accounts, expand existing relationships, and drive cross‑selling/upselling. - Oversee sales forecasting, performance reporting, and data‑driven analysis. - Build and maintain long‑term client, partner, and stakeholder relationships. - Define and launch architectural and services offerings in collaboration with engineering, partners, and vendors. - Coordinate with Marketing to deliver industry education events and enablement sessions. - Identify emerging market opportunities and industry trends for expansion. - Develop sales budgets, incentive programs, and resource allocation plans. - Direct P&L ownership: monitor revenue, gross margin, and profitability; mitigate financial risks. - Optimize sales processes using CRM, analytics, and automation tools. - Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development. - Ensure all sales activities comply with corporate policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. **Required Skills:** - Strategic sales planning and execution - Consultative solution selling in technology/professional services - Leadership, coaching, and talent development - Forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics - Strong negotiation and contract management - Budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L accountability - Cross‑functional collaboration (Marketing, Product, Delivery, Operations) - Market research and expansion strategy - Proficiency with CRM and sales automation platforms - Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field (required) - Master’s degree or MBA (preferred) - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Leader, PMP) optional but advantageous.
