**Job title**
Director / Senior Director of Logistics
**Role Summary**
Lead the global logistics strategy for a Ready‑to‑Wear fashion brand. Oversee inbound, outbound, reverse logistics and 3PL partnerships across retail, wholesale, e‑commerce and marketplace channels, ensuring operational excellence, cost control, compliance, sustainability, and alignment with seasonal product flows. Drive cross‑functional collaboration and mentor a high‑performance logistics team.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end logistics performance against service, cost, and sustainability KPIs.
- Scale global transportation, warehousing and fulfillment networks to support omni‑channel growth.
- Maintain compliance with international trade, customs, product safety and warehouse regulations.
- Lead continuous improvement, automation, and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop and execute global inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics strategy.
2. Design and manage scalable logistics network: warehouses, cross‑border hubs, 3PLs.
3. Collaborate with Planning, Production, Merchandising, and Finance to align logistics with seasonal calendars.
4. Negotiate and manage freight providers (air, ocean, ground); set rate and SLA targets.
5. Oversee import/export operations, customs clearance, HS classification, duty optimization.
6. Optimize e‑commerce fulfillment speed, costs, SLAs; manage parcel, LTL, courier portfolios.
7. Ensure wholesale routing compliance, EDI adherence, retailer scorecard management.
8. Lead omni‑channel capabilities: ship‑from‑store, ship‑to‑store, same‑day/next‑day options.
9. Manage 3PL selection, contracting, performance monitoring, and improvement plans.
10. Introduce automation, WMS/TMS enhancements, and process efficiencies.
11. Plan logistics capacity for high‑volume periods (holidays, Fashion Week, launches).
12. Drive sustainability initiatives: carbon footprint reduction, packaging optimization, greener freight.
13. Develop continuity and risk‑mitigation plans for supply‑chain disruptions.
14. Mentor and develop logistics and operations teams.
15. Communicate performance and strategic priorities to senior leadership.
**Required Skills**
- 10‑15+ years logistics or supply‑chain experience; 5+ years senior leadership.
- Strong background in fashion, apparel, or luxury RTW sector.
- Proven expertise in global transportation network and 3PL warehouse operations.
- Deep knowledge of import/export, customs, global trade (EU/UK/US/Asia).
- Experience with e‑commerce fulfillment, carrier management, and omni‑channel logistics.
- Proficiency with WMS, TMS, ERP systems; analytical and data‑driven decision making.
- Advanced negotiation, vendor management, and contracting skills.
- Strategic thinking with operational execution discipline.
- Excellent cross‑functional collaboration, communication, and leadership abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as APICS CLTD, CSCP, or equivalent preferred.
