Job Description
Job title: Business Analyst – Azure Platform Role Summary: Business Analyst responsible for evaluating, documenting, and enhancing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. Works closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and project teams to align Azure implementations with federal compliance (FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, DoD). Acts as liaison between government clients, technical staff, and leadership to ensure business objectives are met. Expectations: - Deliver accurate business and technical requirements for Azure initiatives. - Maintain compliance with federal security standards. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies. - Provide data‑driven progress reports. - support training and adoption of Azure best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and optimize cloud‑related business processes for efficiency and compliance. - Gather, define, and document requirements with stakeholders and engineers. - Ensure Azure infrastructure meets FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, and DoD standards. - Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives. - Facilitate communication among government clients, engineering teams, and leadership. - Use JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI to monitor progress, manage risks, and generate reports. - Collaborate with Azure architects on Azure DevOps, VMs, Storage, and IAM solutions. - Develop automated solutions for cloud provisioning and access control. - Support training and knowledge transfer for end‑users. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and documentation skills. - Experience with Microsoft Azure services (DevOps, VMs, Storage, IAM). - Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, DoD). - Proficiency in Agile methodology and tools (JIRA, Confluence). - Data visualization and reporting (Power BI). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant Azure certification preferred (e.g., AZ‑100 – Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or AZ‑200 – Microsoft Azure Developer Associate). - Secret Security Clearance required.
