Job Description

Job title: Global Director of Procurement Role Summary: Lead the global procurement function to achieve cost optimization, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across all business units in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. Expectations: - Deliver strategic procurement initiatives that align with corporate goals. - Maintain high‑level supplier relationships and contractual excellence. - Drive digital procurement transformation and data‑driven decision making. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a global procurement strategy for cost, quality, and risk. - Negotiate and manage high‑value contracts for raw materials, equipment, and outside‑in‑source services. - Build and mentor a worldwide procurement team, fostering cross‑functional collaboration. - Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, ICH, and sustainability/ethical sourcing standards. - Champion ERP (SAP, D365) and e‑procurement platform adoption. - Monitor KPIs, perform spend analysis, and report performance to executive leadership. Required Skills: - Strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation expertise in a global context. - Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and supply chain risk. - Proficiency with ERP systems and digital procurement technologies. - Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Minimum 10 years progressive global procurement or supply‑chain experience. - Procurement or supply‑chain certification (CPSM, CSCP) preferred. ---
