Job Description

**Job Title:** Junior Platform Engineer **Role Summary:** Entry‑level DevOps/Platform Engineer responsible for supporting and evolving the infrastructure that powers trading applications and research pipelines. Works under guidance of senior engineers to implement IaC, CI/CD, automation, and cloud‑native solutions while gaining practical experience in Linux systems, monitoring, and incident response. **Expactations:** - Acquire hands‑on expertise in infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. - Collaborate with development teams to automate workflows and improve deployment reliability. - Contribute to documentation, monitoring, and incident handling. - Demonstrate a growth mindset, proactive communication, and accountability in a fast‑changing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and extend IaC using Ansible, Packer, Terraform for Linux server provisioning. - Support and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Automate deployment processes and assist development teams with workflow integration. - Monitor, log, and respond to incidents using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). - Document system architectures, playbooks, and standard operating procedures. - Troubleshoot data‑center operations, addressing performance and hardware issues. **Required Skills:** - Linux system administration fundamentals. - Scripting/programming proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go. - Version control with Git. - Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes concepts. - Understanding of networking, DNS, security basics, and debugging tools. - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools. - Awareness of AWS, Azure, or GCP services. - Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work collaboratively. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; relevant cloud or DevOps certifications are a plus.
