**Job title:** Vice President of Business Development
**Role Summary:**
Lead Genpro’s growth strategy by building, managing, and motivating a high‑performing new‑business sales organization. Drive pipeline development, market expansion, and revenue growth across key verticals while aligning business development objectives with overall corporate strategy.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define, communicate, and execute the business‑development strategy.
- Build, coach, and inspire a business‑development sales team focused on new client acquisition.
- Set sales goals, KPIs, and incentive structures to drive performance.
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure business‑development objectives are aligned with corporate strategy.
- Design and lead prospecting, lead‑generation, and outreach campaigns to grow the sales pipeline.
- Identify, pursue, and secure strategic accounts in target industries.
- Personally engage high‑value prospects and close marquee accounts.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance visibility.
- Provide consultative freight and logistics solutions to prospective clients.
- Track, analyze, and report on business‑development performance to executive leaders.
- Use data‑driven insights to refine strategies, improve conversion rates, and enhance team productivity.
- Champion continuous improvement by incorporating market feedback and evolving customer needs into the value proposition.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation, including ≥5 years in a senior role.
- Proven success in building and leading high‑performing new‑business sales teams and exceeding revenue targets.
- In‑depth knowledge of transportation brokerage operations, freight markets, and supply‑chain logistics.
- Strong executive presence, motivational leadership, and influence across organizational levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with experience developing and executing go‑to‑market plans.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, pipeline‑management tools, and sales‑analytics software.
- Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvements.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply‑Chain Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Industry certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) are a plus.
