**Job Title:**
Head of Ecommerce
**Role Summary:**
Leads end-to-end management of all consumer-facing websites, integrating content, commerce, customer experience, and technology to drive growth, performance, and operational excellence.
**Expectations:**
- 5–8 years managing consumer websites, including content workflows, ecommerce operations, and performance marketing.
- Proven cross‑functional leadership bridging design, tech, and commerce.
- Startup agility: comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and adapting to shifting priorities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Oversee development, launch, and evolution of all company websites (brand, ecommerce, tech platform).
2. Manage end‑to‑end content workflow: copy, imagery, collateral, CMS publishing, QA.
3. Lead a small buying and operations team; ensure accurate, on‑brand merchandising.
4. Own Shopify storefront operations: updates, product merchandising, promotion execution.
5. Maintain editorial and promotional calendars; coordinate with marketing, brand, creative teams.
6. Manage email and SMS programs (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive).
7. Drive site performance via SEO, paid search, affiliate, paid social; analyze KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, ROAS).
8. Report on financial metrics: revenue, CAC, profitability.
9. Define and implement platform feature requirements; scope and launch with tech partners.
10. Evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors for CMS, analytics, checkout, loyalty, etc.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in consumer website management (content workflow, ecommerce, performance marketing).
- Strong knowledge of CMS and ecommerce platforms (Shopify preferred).
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics) and paid media.
- Email/SMS marketing tool proficiency (Klaviyo, Attentive).
- Organizational & systems mindset; ability to juggle daily maintenance with strategic initiatives.
- Vendor management and cross‑team collaboration experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; keen eye for detail.
- Analytical ability to interpret performance data and recommend optimizations.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
