**Job Title:** Head of AI DevOps
**Role Summary:**
Senior leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling a cloud‑native AI DevOps ecosystem. Drives CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, observability, security, and AI/ML pipeline integration while providing technical direction and influencing enterprise engineering strategy. Must remain hands‑on with code and tools and operate onsite full‑time.
**Expectations:**
- 8+ years of progressive DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.
- Proven leadership of high‑traffic, production environments.
- Demonstrated AI/ML infrastructure experience (required).
- Resident within 40 mi of Los Angeles/Santa Monica; onsite 5 days/week.
- Strong communication skills for cross‑functional and executive alignment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement modern CI/CD pipelines and scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Lead adoption of IaC (Terraform), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate cutting‑edge DevOps tools.
- Own system reliability: uptime, monitoring, incident response, root‑cause analysis.
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards across environments.
- Collaborate with development, security, QA, and product teams to align priorities.
- Champion DevOps best practices and continuous performance tuning.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, especially AI/ML workflow integration.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
- Strong scripting/coding: Bash, Python, Go (or comparable languages).
- Experience with AI/ML pipeline orchestration and model deployment.
- Proven track record in system reliability engineering, security, and compliance at scale.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present strategy to executives.
- Hands‑on mindset: actively writes code and configures systems.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Professional, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or comparable.
