**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and operate a high‑throughput, low‑latency edge tier that bridges CDN and cloud services. Drive automation, performance, security, and reliability for globally distributed digital experiences.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver and maintain edge infrastructure that handles millions of requests per second.
- Ensure security, observability, and self‑healing capabilities are built‑in.
- Collaborate across Cloud Platform, SRE, and InfoSec teams to enforce best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new edge technologies to improve efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy, configure, and manage edge‑tier components (HAProxy, Fastly, load balancers, caching).
- Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible; integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate security controls (TLS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, certificate management).
- Build monitoring, logging, and automated remediation for edge services.
- Optimize DNS, routing, and network configurations for performance and resilience.
- Contribute to multi‑cloud edge strategy and evaluate emerging tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years infrastructure or systems engineering, preferably with CDN/web‑delivery at scale.
- Deep knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and security (TLS, WAF, DDoS, Zero Trust).
- Experience with HAProxy or comparable reverse‑proxy/load‑balancer.
- Proficiency in GCP, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Hands‑on Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD automation.
- Expertise in caching strategies, observability, and performance tuning.
- Excellent troubleshooting of distributed systems.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus but not mandatory.
