Sr. Manager, Maritime Cyber Safety Operations
**Role Summary**
Leads global Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity operations for a maritime fleet, ensuring implementation, monitoring, and optimization of OT security tools and processes. Oversees incident response, threat detection, and compliance with industry regulations, while managing a team of OT security analysts and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
**Expectations**
- Deliver and maintain OT security services aligned with NIST framework and corporate SLAs.
- Provide strategic direction and rapid escalation for critical OT cyber incidents.
- Build and sustain a high‑performing global OT security analyst team.
- Ensure continuous compliance with IMO, CLIA, BIMCO, MSC‑FAL.1/Circ.3, and class society standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate and continuously improve OT security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection across the fleet.
- Define, track, and report KRIs/KPIs for OT cyber operations; enforce service level agreements.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of critical OT assets with risk rankings and vulnerability alerts.
- Manage support processes for OT defense tools (remote access, backup/recovery, removable media scanning, anti‑virus, patching).
- Lead a global team of OT security analysts, ensuring adherence to GCS Threat Intel and Operations standards.
- Act as primary escalation point for high‑severity OT cyber incidents and coordinate stakeholder communications.
- Oversee relationships with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and offshore/nearshore security resources.
- Ensure operational procedures comply with maritime regulations and industry best practices.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership in IT/cybersecurity operations (3+ years managing OT security environments).
- Deep expertise in OT cyber operations, OT network design, and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of maritime OT systems (bridge, propulsion, machinery, power control, access control, cargo management).
- Experience with security monitoring tools, incident response, and threat intelligence integration.
- Ability to develop and manage SLAs, KRIs, KPIs, and reporting metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical problem‑solving for complex, high‑pressure cyber incidents.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Business Informatics, or Business Administration.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, GSLC, GSOC, GCTI, or CISM.
