Job Description
**Job Title:** Maintenance Supervisor **Role Summary:** Supervise maintenance operations to ensure efficient plant functionality and safety compliance. **Expectations:** Weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week). Provide hands-on leadership for equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and team management. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation. - Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions. - Oversee plant utilities (boiler, HVAC, compressed air, etc.) and conduct preventive/reactive maintenance. - Enforce safety standards (OHSA compliance) and document deviations. - Collaborate with departments to align maintenance with production needs. - Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance schedules. - Develop training programs and conduct performance reviews. - Maintain CMMS accuracy and update SOPs/technical documentation. - Support annual budget planning and on-call emergency response. **Required Skills:** - Proven supervisory leadership in manufacturing. - Equipment troubleshooting and technical diagnostics. - Safety compliance (GMP, HACCP). - Technical drawings interpretation (architectural, mechanical, P&ID). - CMMS, SAP, Microsoft Office proficiency. - Union environment experience. - Organizational and problem-solving capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Recognized mechanical/electrical tradesperson qualification. - Valid Ontario technical trades certificate. - Technical school education (or equivalent). - Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience (2+ years in supervisory role), preferably in food/beverage sector.
