**Job Title:** Lead Engineer – AI/ML
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and deployment of production‑grade AI/ML solutions aligned with a multi‑year generative AI roadmap. Translate business objectives into measurable AI projects, build end‑to‑end pipelines, and champion responsible AI practices while mentoring engineering teams.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver scalable, reliable AI/ML systems that meet defined business impact metrics.
- Drive adoption of emerging AI tools and frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with ethics, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively across product, UI/UX, and engineering stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end AI/ML pipelines (data ingestion, model training, deployment, monitoring).
- Lead full lifecycle of AI/ML projects—from requirements gathering to production rollout.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional teams to align technical solutions with user needs.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate new AI/ML libraries, frameworks, and cloud services.
- Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD for AI/ML workloads.
- Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering standards.
**Required Skills:**
- Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, probability, NLP, and generative AI.
- Hands‑on experience with major AI/ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn).
- Experience building scalable pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Databricks, or equivalents).
- Familiarity with large language models (e.g., OpenAI GPT‑3.5/4, BERT, BART, Dolly).
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering.
- (Optional) Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or AI/ML specialties are a plus.
