**Job Title:** Principal Data Scientist
**Role Summary:** Provide technical leadership to drive advanced data science initiatives, innovate in AI/ML frameworks, and align enterprise-wide data strategies with business objectives.
**Expectations:** Advanced expertise in machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling; ability to lead large-scale projects, mentor teams, and influence cross-functional strategies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define end-to-end AI/ML project lifecycles and architectural standards.
- Develop responsible AI validation frameworks for fairness, transparency, and accountability.
- Collaborate with MLOps, data engineering, and platform teams to establish scalable deployment standards.
- Design next-generation predictive models and analytical frameworks for competitive advantage.
- Align modeling efforts with business objectives, data governance, and emerging technologies.
- Mentor senior/junior scientists, publish research, and peer-review in top-tier ML/AI conferences.
- Implement QA/responsible AI testing, model validation, and drift detection frameworks.
- Communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders for strategic decision-making.
- Leverage cloud platforms (GCP, Vertex AI, BigQuery ML) and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace) for innovation.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced proficiency in statistics, machine learning, and AI.
- Expertise in Python, R, or equivalent for data science workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and ML tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Strong software development capabilities (e.g., version control, CI/CD pipelines).
- Advanced data governance, EDA, and visualization techniques.
- Leadership in cross-functional collaboration and technical mentorship.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- PhD or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud machine learning (e.g., GCP, AWS ML) or AI/ML research frameworks preferred.
