**Job Title**
Associate Merchandiser
**Role Summary**
Develop and maintain seasonal product plans to support a specific category, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and accurate execution within the Global Product Merchandising team. Engage cross‑functional stakeholders, perform data‑driven analysis, and manage product documentation and sample workflows.
**Expectations**
- Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager to achieve category sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Deliver timely, accurate product plans and analyses across weekly, monthly, and seasonal cycles.
- Provide clear, data‑based insights to support decision making and streamline the line‑planning process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Research competitor activity, product opportunities, and market trends; produce competitive analysis reports and actionable recommendations.
- Generate business analyses (weekly, monthly, seasonal) and update line plans in the system (e.g., SAP, Line Plan).
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP) and seasonal assortment planning, analyzing color history, margin, pricing, and forecasting.
- Proof catalogs, price lists; coordinate sample acquisition for marketing and field testing.
- Attend weekly development and production meetings, capture minutes, monitor timelines, and follow up on action items.
- Order competitor and company samples; collaborate with insights team on testing.
- Coordinate sample rooms, execute room set‑ups for product meetings.
- Present seasonal product offerings to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct customer and consumer research, including retail visits, to inform product direction.
- Assist with ad‑hoc projects, provide backup to other merchandisers, and manage category samples.
**Required Skills**
- Minimum 1 year experience in apparel product management or a related field.
- Strong analytical ability to transform data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data‑analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with aptitude for cross‑level stakeholder engagement.
- Superior organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage detail‑heavy tasks.
- Quick learner, collaborative team player; background in product development, planning, and brand strategy preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Textile Design, Merchandising, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
