Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Analyst **Role Summary:** Provide technical and process support for internal accounting and tax applications, manage support tickets, gather requirements, and develop data queries/visualizations to meet client needs within a hybrid work environment. **Expectations:** - Deliver timely resolution or escalation of support requests while maintaining service level agreements. - Prioritize backlog and adapt to fluctuating workloads, including occasional after‑hours or weekend support during peak periods. - Communicate effectively with technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Investigate, resolve, or escalate business process and technical issues for internal accounting/tax applications. - Manage and prioritize support ticket backlog to meet defined service levels. - Identify issue trends and recommend preventative measures. - Create and maintain support documentation. - Participate in requirements gathering, change management, and release management activities. - Develop SQL queries and data visualizations for analytics requests. - Assist with application testing. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in MS SQL for querying, maintenance, and troubleshooting (preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Customer‑service orientation. - Self‑starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision. - Flexibility to adjust hours during busy seasons. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field (required). - Accounting education or experience is a plus. - No specific certifications mandated.
