Job Description
**Job Title:** Machine Learning Engineer (MD and PA State) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models for state‑government applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions. **Expectations:** - Full‑time remote position restricted to U.S. citizens. - Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Proven track record of end‑to‑end machine‑learning lifecycle management. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prototype, implement, and optimize supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, NLP, and computer‑vision algorithms for scalability and performance. - Integrate ML models into production systems, ensuring seamless deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. - Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, subject‑matter experts, and designers to clarify business requirements and deliver technical solutions. - Stay current with the latest ML research, tools, and frameworks; recommend improvements to processes and technologies. - Perform data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, and feature engineering to support model development. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience as an ML Engineer or a comparable role. - Deep learning fundamentals and hands‑on experience with computer vision, NLP, speech, reinforcement learning, or generative models. - Proficiency with ML libraries/frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, Keras, etc.). - Strong programming skills in Python (or equivalent) and familiarity with data engineering tools. - Expertise in data manipulation, exploratory analysis, and feature engineering. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. - Effective collaboration and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a BA in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field; Masters or Ph.D. preferred but not required. - Non‑traditional candidates may qualify with relevant certifications (e.g., TensorFlow Developer Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, etc.) demonstrating proficiency. **U.S. Citizenship Requirement:** Position is limited to U.S. citizens only.
