Job Description

**Job Title:** Functional Tester (Software) **Role Summary:** Software Test Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality, stability, and reliability of Platform Science’s IoT solutions. Performs manual functional testing, runs automated regression suites, documents findings, and collaborates with development and cross‑functional teams to deliver defect‑free releases. **Expectations:** - Execute manual functional tests on new features and verify results against specifications. - Operate and monitor automated regression tests, report outcomes, and track trends. - Identify, analyze, and log software defects with detailed reproduction steps. - Communicate clearly with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and report issues. - Produce and maintain test documentation, help guides, and test plans. - Work independently, own testing tasks end‑to‑end, and meet release deadlines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform functional testing of complex software products. - Run and maintain automated regression test suites. - Use Jira (or equivalent) for defect tracking and reporting. - Create/maintain functional, technical, and user documentation. - Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams throughout the release cycle. - Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. **Required Skills:** - Strong understanding of software development concepts and testing methodologies. - Proficiency in manual functional testing. - Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium) preferred. - Excellent written and spoken English; French highly recommended. - Ability to produce clear, detailed documentation. - Strong communication and teamwork skills in a global environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience. - ISTQB® certification (or equivalent). - EU residency and work permit; EU driver’s license.
