Principal Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure & AWS) – CCoE
**Role Summary**
Set technical direction for enterprise cloud platforms on Azure and AWS. Design secure landing zones, guardrails, and policy‑as‑code frameworks. Own IaC modules, establish baselines for identity, networking, and security, and define reliability and resilience standards. Publish reference architectures, mentor cloud engineers, and collaborate with FinOps on cost optimization, while representing the Cloud Center of Excellence in executive forums and audits.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, code, and test cloud platform solutions.
- Architect and maintain AWS and Azure platforms, including secure landing zones and guardrails.
- Implement IaC with Terraform, managing CI/CD pipelines and policy‑as‑code.
- Set identity, networking, security, observability, and resilience baselines.
- Publish reference architectures and best‑practice documentation.
- Mentor engineers on design patterns, tools, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with FinOps on cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Lead agile teams, participate in sprint planning, and manage product backlog items.
- Engage in executive‑level discussions and audit preparations related to HIPAA/HITRUST compliance.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in Azure and AWS enterprise environments.
- Proven experience delivering landing zones, guardrails, and regulated‑industry controls.
- Advanced Terraform proficiency at scale; CI/CD governance.
- Strong knowledge of identity, networking, security engineering, and observability.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Capability to develop and advocate policy‑as‑code and automation solutions.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent (legal authorization to work in U.S.).
- Mandatory: Cloud Service Provider certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) within 1 year of employment.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Preferred certifications: AZ‑305/AZ‑400, AWS Solution Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Professional, CCSFP, CISSP, or CCSP.
