Job Description
Job title: Mechatronics Deployment Engineer (On‑site) Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end deployment of electrical, mechanical, software, and robotics systems in fulfillment centres, ensuring quality, validation, and efficient inventory management while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Expectations: • Self‑starter with engineering background (Electrical/Mechanical/Construction). • Strong project management, prioritisation and communication skills. • Ability to operate autonomously in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Track and report on installation progress, quality and validation of all systems. 2. Lead large teams in setting up, configuring, and commissioning software, hardware, and robotics. 3. Manage on‑site relationships with internal and external stakeholders (contractors, vendors, third‑party assemblers). 4. Provide on‑site hardware and software support during initial deployment. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating resources as needed. 6. Monitor deployment inventory, including spare parts, addressing discrepancies with supply chain partners. 7. Communicate progress, risks, and status updates to peers, management, contractors, and vendors. Required Skills: • BS in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related technical field. • Proven ability to prioritise, schedule and support multiple concurrent projects. • Deep familiarity with complex technology involving software, hardware and robotics. • Self‑motivated problem‑solving in both independent and team contexts. • Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences. • Multi‑tasking, prioritisation and independent work under minimal supervision. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. • No specific industry certifications required, but knowledge of robotics deployment standards and project management methodologies is desirable.
