Job Title: Operations and Data Automation Analyst
Role Summary: Drive operational excellence by analyzing workflows, deploying automation, and delivering data‑driven insights to improve efficiency, client service, and growth for a financial advisory team.
Expactations: Translate business needs into actionable technical projects, collaborate with IT/data specialists, lead analytics initiatives, train end users, monitor impact metrics, and stay current on industry technology trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze advisor practices, operations, and workflows to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with enterprise data and IT teams to scope, prioritize, and implement automation solutions, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications for analytics, workflow enhancements, and automation projects.
- Lead data analytics initiatives using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to generate actionable insights for management and advisors.
- Act as the liaison between the financial advisor team and enterprise IT/data specialists on operational projects.
- Track success metrics, monitor ongoing impact of deployed tools, and report results.
- Facilitate adoption by providing training, documentation, and support for new tools and automated workflows.
- Monitor industry trends in financial services technology, data analytics, and business operations to inform continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with business intelligence tools: Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
- Familiarity with automation platforms: Alteryx, RPA tools, Salesforce automation (or equivalent).
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions in partnership with IT/data teams.
- Experience delivering training and documentation to end users.
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services operations, process improvement, business analytics, or similar roles.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
