Vice President of Product (Head of Product)
**Role Summary**
Senior product leader responsible for establishing product‑market fit, defining vision and roadmap, and driving a data‑focused discovery and experimentation process for a cybersecurity SaaS solution. Works closely with the founder, engineering, design, and go‑to‑market teams to translate customer insights into a scalable product strategy.
**Expectations**
- Validate product‑market fit hypotheses and identify target customer segments within 12 months.
- Secure early design partners and generate a pipeline of pilots, LOIs, or early revenue.
- Deliver a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap grounded in market research.
- Implement repeatable metrics, KPIs, and learning loops for rapid iteration.
- Align product positioning, messaging, and pricing with GTM efforts.
- Lay the foundation for a product organization ready to scale (processes, metrics, early hires).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and execute a structured discovery framework to test hypotheses and prioritize high‑value use cases.
- Conduct deep customer discovery with early partners, industry experts, and prospective buyers; translate findings into actionable product direction.
- Define and track KPI dashboards to measure product success and inform decisions.
- Champion lean experimentation, fast feedback cycles, and evidence‑based prioritization.
- Partner with founders and sales/marketing to craft positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies.
- Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with cybersecurity market dynamics.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration with engineering and design to turn insights into specifications, mock‑ups, and releases.
- Provide hands‑on product ownership: write requirements, run discovery calls, and guide development while maintaining strategic oversight.
**Required Skills**
- 8+ years product management experience, with ≥3 years in a senior leadership role at early‑stage (seed‑Series B) B2B SaaS or security startups.
- Proven track record of achieving product‑market fit and driving a product from concept to market adoption.
- Deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, buyer ecosystem, and compliance drivers; experience in fintech, gaming, healthcare, or travel a plus.
- Expertise in customer discovery, qualitative & quantitative research, and experiment design.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to define, monitor, and act on product KPIs.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management (customers, internal teams, investors).
- Hands‑on product development skills: requirement writing, workflow mock‑ups, and close collaboration with engineers/designers.
- Ability to work across Pacific Time zones; remote leadership experience preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or product management certifications) are advantageous but not mandatory.
