Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration platforms. Drive automation, scalability, security, and observability across hybrid cloud (AWS) and Kubernetes environments while mentoring team members and ensuring robust system health.
Expectations:
- Provide technical leadership and hands‑on support for internal systems.
- Own end‑to‑end infrastructure, from design through production deployment, with focus on reliability, security, and performance.
- Mentor and coach peers on best practices, policies, and tooling.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to streamline operations and enhance security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug IaC and CI/CD workflows using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions/ArgoCD, etc.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, TKGi, ECS) and manage containerized applications.
- Create and enforce configuration management patterns and best‑practice documentation.
- Perform requirements analysis, write technical specifications, and lead design meetings.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and network issues; act as escalation point for complex infra problems.
- Monitor environment health, implement proactive fixes, and improve performance.
- Participate in change management and risk management processes.
- Support product enhancements, feature additions, and production releases with zero downtime.
Required Skills:
- IaC expertise: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK.
- Cloud: AWS (EC2, IAM, ELB, Route53, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB) and experience with Azure or GCP preferred.
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes, EKS, TKGi, ECS, Docker, Helm.
- CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar.
- Scripting/Programming: Bash, Python, or Go.
- Networking: DNS, HTTP/TLS, load balancing, VPC design.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, X‑Ray.
- OS: Linux administration, kernel tuning, filesystem management.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, etc.) are a plus.
