**Job Title**
QA Automation Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure high‑quality releases across Angular/Ionic web apps and Salesforce platforms. Drive end‑to‑end automation coverage for data‑driven solutions, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating closely with QA, development, and business stakeholders.
**Expectations**
- 1‑3 years of test automation experience, with hands‑on Playwright and TypeScript.
- Ability to understand complex business logic, trace end‑to‑end workflows, and identify edge cases.
- Proficiency in AWS services (S3, Lambda), with basic data validation skills (JSON, Excel).
- Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and remote collaboration.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Salesforce testing (Lightning, Provar, Selenium).
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop and sustain end‑to‑end automated tests using Playwright/TypeScript.
2. Create reusable utilities and test frameworks for scalable, continuous testing.
3. Automate data flow validation across JSON, Excel, and S3.
4. Partner with developers and QA leads to reproduce, resolve Salesforce Lightning defects.
5. Integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
6. Contribute to test planning, strategy, and documentation in Jira.
7. Ensure test results are reliable, efficient, and reflect business workflows.
8. Collaborate on understanding and validating intricate business processes.
9. Define, track, and improve automation metrics (coverage, execution time, defect leakage rate).
10. Partner with DevOps and Analytics teams to evolve quality gates in CI/CD.
11. Extend coverage to backend data quality checks using SQL or Athena for S3/AWS data flows.
**Required Skills**
- Playwright & TypeScript automation.
- Test‑by‑executable framework design.
- AWS fundamentals (S3, Lambda).
- Salesforce Lightning testing knowledge or eagerness to learn.
- SQL/Hud Athena for data validation.
- CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Jira and Agile/Scrum familiarity.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail orientation.
- Effective remote collaboration and asynchronous communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- No mandatory certifications, but Salesforce or automation-related credentials (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer, ISO testing certifications) are a plus.
