Job title: Lead Jenkins Administrator
Role Summary: Own the design, deployment, and optimization of an enterprise‑level CI/CD pipeline architecture centered on Jenkins and Octopus Deploy, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performance automation across multiple teams.
Expectations: Drive enterprise adoption of modern CI/CD technologies, mentor a multi‑disciplinary DevOps team, and deliver measurable improvements in deployment speed, reliability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement a unified Jenkins pipeline framework integrated with Octopus Deploy and complementary CI/CD tools.
- Scale and maintain a robust Jenkins environment that supports concurrent workflows for multiple development teams.
- Evaluate emerging CI/CD tools and lead organization‑wide adoption initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of developers and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to capture requirements, align strategy, and elevate DevOps maturity.
- Enforce Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) practices, governance, compliance, and audit controls across cloud and on‑prem resources.
- Design, implement, and refine monitoring, alerting, and automation for sustained operational performance.
- Lead incident response, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term remediation.
- Identify process bottlenecks, champion end‑to‑end automation, and drive deployment efficiency and reliability.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Jenkins and Octopus Deploy; solid understanding of full CI/CD ecosystems.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and IaC principles.
- Strong programming proficiency (Python, Node.js) and good Git fundamentals.
- Knowledge of software‑defined networking, VPCs, cloud networking, and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and ITIL best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Jenkins Certified Engineer, or Kubernetes Administrator are highly preferred.
