Job Title: Senior DevOps Applications Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the development, delivery, and performance assurance of software applications within a large technical environment. Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to design, build, and optimize application solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, install, patch, and secure software on local and remote systems (Linux, VMware, etc.).
- Manage data backup, storage, VMs, and file systems (NFS, SMB, CIFS, ZFS, NAS).
- Troubleshoot remotely using diagnostic techniques; log and update tickets in ServiceNow.
- Own incident resolution and support process ownership.
- Propose and implement process and system performance improvements.
- Collaborate on feasibility studies and custom application enhancements.
- Maintain compliance with IT standards, procedures, and SLAs.
- Support engineering requests and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
Required Skills:
- Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Cloud (GCP & Azure) operations.
- Application management (Atlassian stack: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- CI/CD & networking (TCP/IP, UDP, CI/CD pipelines).
- Monitoring (Splunk), ticketing (ServiceNow).
- Scripting (Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby), SCM (SVN/Git).
- VMware, HP hardware, and SW release management knowledge.
- Agile/SAFe methodology experience.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in large technical software development environments.
